Leeds have been ordered by Uefa to cut Elland Road's terrace capacity by 40 per cent for the second leg of their European Cup first-round tie against VfB Stuttgart on 30 September. The ruling covers all grounds staging Category A matches in European competitions. Elland Road's capacity will be cut to around 24,000 for the tie against the German champions. Leeds, with backing from the police, have appealed against the ruling.
