CESAR MENOTTI has withdrawn his resignation and will continue as coach of the Mexico after stepping down for 24 hours, Mexican officials said yesterday.
Menotti said he had been 'confused' by a bitter power struggle to control the Mexican federation, and had decided to stay on 'for the good of football,' to guide the Mexican team to the 1994 World Cup. Mexico reached the quarter- finals at the 1986 World Cup.
