Spain's Miguel Indurain, who won his fifth successive Tour de France this year, received the Olympic Order yesterday, one of the highest given by the International Olympic Committee. Indurain plans to compete at next summer's Atlanta Olympics, when the Games will be open to professional cyclists for the first time.

Lugano in Switzerland has been chosen as the venue for the 1996 Road World Championships from 9 to 13 October.
