Salim Malik, the Pakistan captain, yesterday angrily countered reported claims by Imran Khan, Javed Miandad and Sarfraz Nawaz that his team members have been betting on their own results. Malik attributed the allegations to jealousy of the team's success. 'The former players are jealous of our success and they are putting the team under pressure,' Malik said. 'The players are ready to face any charges.'
