Cricket: Hong Kong are tied up

HONG KONG achieved the rare feat of tying two successive games on Wednesday in the ICC Trophy, now entering its seventh day, writes Mark Newham from Nairobi. In a one-day match spanning Sunday and Monday they matched Denmark's 192 and were awarded the points having lost two fewer wickets. On Tuesday and Wednesday the tables were reversed when Bermuda equalled Hong Kong's 154 but for two wickets less.

This, so far, has been the only occasion on which any of the top four seeds - the Netherlands, Bangladesh, Kenya and Bermuda - has been made to break sweat to take the points and all are on course to qualify for the second round.

With 28 of the 75 scheduled matches of the mini-World Cup complete, all the top seeds have unbeaten records in their two matches. They are joined by the much-fancied, but unseeded, Canadian side, the United Arab Emirates and Ireland.
