Customize your Ikea furniture with unique prints

Thanks to new company Mykea, your Billy will never look like other Billys again.

"We love the well-designed furniture," it says on the website, "but we don't like the fact that we see the same Ikea interior everywhere around us."

As a remedy to the "nakedness" and replaceability of the big Swede's furniture, the makers behind the brand thought up a concept of adhesive prints, created by different artists, that allow everyone to live in an individually designed surrounding for a very affordable price.

Designs - ranging from urban turntable prints to girly pastels - are available for "the big 5" most popular Ikea pieces including the Billy and Expedit book cases, Malm dresser and bed, and Lack coffee table. Prices start at €15.

For anyone who doesn't find what they're looking for, don't fret: aspiring designers and artists can submit their own prints and even make money from them once they get sold to other shoppers.
