NICOSIA (Reuter) - Iran, facing an acute shortage of cinemas and huge public interest in illegal video films, is turning some of its mosques into makeshift movie houses. The Minister of Islamic Culture and Guidance, Ali Larijani, said mosques could apply for permits to show authorised videos to the public from the Iranian new year on 21 March.
