Ten people were killed and 92 were missing after a tidal wave of mud engulfed families in their homes when a sludge-dam at the Harmony gold mine near Virginia burst, Reuter reports from Johannesburg. The sea of mud, at least 6ft high and 1,000 yards across, swept through the housing complex after a cloudburst.
