Sharansky visits his former jail

Natan Sharansky, a former Soviet political prisoner and now Israel's Trade Minister, visited the Moscow prison where he was held by the KGB and said he had no hard feelings.

"I felt that is the place - the prison, the punishment cell - where I really got my most important victory," he said when he came out of Lefortovo prison. "I was very proud to show the place to my wife." A dissident who fought for Soviet Jews' right to emigrate to Israel, Mr Sharansky spent nine years in Soviet prisons before being freed in 1986.
