DOHA, QATAR (AP) - A Saudi military force attacked a Qatari post in a disputed border region yesterday, killing two soldiers and taking a third prisoner, the Qatar News Agency reported.
The agency, quoting an unidentified source at the General Command of the Qatari armed forces, said a Qatari corporal and an Egyptian soldier were killed in the attack at the post of al-Khofous.
An official Saudi spokesman in Riyadh denied the report, saying the incident was a clash between Bedouin tribesmen.
The post is in a desert region about 130km (80 miles) from the Qatari capital, Doha.
