The United States should 'behave with prudence' in talks aimed at convincing North Korea to allow international monitoring of its nuclear programme, President Kim Il Sung said, AP reports from Tokyo.
'Pressure or threat will have no effect on us. Such an attempt may invite catastrophe, far from finding a solution to the problem,' Mr Kim said in his address.
