BERLIN - In the fourth consecutive weekend of anti-foreigner violence, German police reported yesterday that a dozen hostels for asylum-seekers were attacked on Saturday night, resulting in three injuries and 32 arrests, writes Adrian Bridge.

Thousands of people gathered in Berlin yesterday to demonstrate against the xenophobic attacks and to listen to speeches warning of the dangers of a revival of fascism.
