Marek Borowski, Poland's Finance Minister, yesterday said he had resigned amid a government dispute about the dismissal of his deputy, Reuter reports from Warsaw. The conflict began last week when the Prime Minister, Waldemar Pawlak, fired Mr Borowski's deputy, Stefan Kawalec, without the minister's consent.
