Japan's Prime Minister, Morihiro Hosokawa, called reporters to his residence this morning to deny a report that he wants to step down, AP reports from Tokyo. Last night two MPs of a splinter party quoted him as saying he was tired and wanted to quit. 'I didn't say any such thing,' Mr Hosokawa said.
