PARIS (Reuter) - A row blazed in France yesterday after a parliamentary report tipped off suspected Mafia members by publishing their names. Michel Albarede, state prosecutor in Grenoble, said he had to call off several police surveillance operations because details in the report would have alerted the suspects. A centre-right MP, Francois d'Aubert, disagreed, saying the names of the suspects had already been published by the Italian press.
