South Africa's controversial peace-keeping force is to be disbanded today, barely four months after it was set up to keep order during the country's transition to democracy, AFP reports from Johannesburg.
The 4,000-member National Peacekeeping Force was dogged by reports of drunkeness, insubordination and desertion.
