Muslim attack 'near'

BUGOJNO (Reuter) - The Muslim-led Bosnian army is gearing up for a large-scale offensive in north-central Bosnia aimed at two Serb-controlled towns near Bugojno, UN Protection Force sources said yesterday. They said the Bosnian army had told them that it planned to take Kupres and Donji Vakuf, towns west and north of Bugojno respectively, within the next few days.

In New York, UN officials last night recommended a 1,800-strong force to enforce a ceasefire deal in Croatia's Krajina area, a UN adviser said. This would include 1,600 troops and a 200-man helicopter squadron.
