LAGOS - Youths rioted in Lagos yesterday in protest at fuel price rises, and demonstrators marched to demand the resignation of the country's interim leader, Ernest Shonekan, Reuter reports.
The rioters blocked main roads in protest against a rise of more than 600 per cent in domestic fuel prices. But in the capital, Abuja, Mr Shonekan told the elected national assembly that Nigerians had to come to terms with his unelected government.
