WARSAW (Reuter) - President Lech Walesa signed a new abortion law following nearly three years of heated debate in Poland on the issue. The new law makes abortions legal whenever childbirth endangers a mother's life or could seriously impair her health, as well as in pregnancies resulting from incest or rape.
