The former Texas Governor, John Connally, who was seriously wounded in the 1963 assassination of President John Kennedy, died yesterday, Reuter reports from Houston. He was 76. He died at Methodist Hospital to which he was admitted on 17 May with pneumonia and pulmonary fibrosis, a hospital spokeswoman said.
