Humiliated Azeri soldiers wept as they mourned the loss of Agdam, another shattering blow from their Armenian foes. Refugees said the town fell on Friday after a sudden assault put the Azeri defenders to flight, Reuter reports from Barda.

The loss of the city, near Nagorny Karabakh, was another emphatic victory for Armenian forces in their war for the territory.
