A British couple were killed in a car crash in New Zealand, the Foreign Office confirmed today.
Robert Anthony Hindle, 73, and his wife Ann, 64, from Altrincham, Cheshire, were involved in a crash near the town of Mossburn in the Southland area of South Island on Wednesday.
A Foreign Office spokeswoman said consular officials in the UK were assisting the couple's family and officials in New Zealand were liaising with the local authorities.
A 27-year-old Israeli woman has been charged with causing their deaths by careless driving, New Zealand police said.
