The Indian army has recovered the remains of a soldier in the Himalayas, 45 years after he died in a plane crash.

NCO Jagmail Singh was aboard an Antonov An-12 plane which crashed on the Dhakka glacier, northern Himachal Pradesh state, in February 1968.

All 98 passengers on the plane died.

The plane's debris was accidentally discovered in 2003, according to the BBC, and subsequent search missions have found four other bodies.
