Bryan Cranston wants to play Donald Trump: 'He's a Shakespearean character'
The Breaking Bad star broke out a 'yoooge' impression of the Republican presidential hopeful
Bryan Cranston has already proven himself a master imitator, with recent award-winning turns as LBJ in All the Way and the blacklisted screenwriter Dalton Trumbo in Trumbo. Those, however, may have been mere rehearsals for the role of a lifetime: the Breaking Bad star now says he’d like to play Donald Trump, and he broke out a not-too-shabby impression-in-progress during an interview with NBC’s morning show, Today.
Cranston, currently on the publicity trail for his new film, The Infiltrator, said of Trump: “He’s this Shakespearean character, this serio-tragic-comedic character. Who wouldn't want to take a bite out of that?” He’d have to do something about that hair, though – it’s far too convincing.
