Brazilian influencer Núbia Cristina Braga killed in hail of gunfire at her home, reports say
Social media star ‘did volunteer work and helped everyone ... she left a legacy behind,’ aunt says
The Brazilian influencer Núbia Cristina Braga has been killed in a hail of gunfire at her home, according to reports.
The social media personality was shot and killed by two gunmen arriving on motorcycles at her house. The attackers then fled the area, Jam Press reported.
Ms Braga, who had almost 60,000 followers on Instagram, was discovered dead at her home in the Santa Maria neighbourhood of Aracaju on 14 October.
Aracaju is the state capital of Sergipe on the northeastern coast of Brazil.
Authorities have said that Ms Braga was returning home after visiting a hair salon, which was shown in her last story on Instagram.
Local media reported that the two gunmen arrived on motorbikes, entered the home through the front door, which was open at the time, and shot her several times before leaving.
Ms Braga was found dead in a pool of her own blood at around 9pm.

An investigation has been launched into the murder of the 23-year-old, but the attackers remain unknown. The police are asking the public to share any information that may help solve the case.
Ms Braga often posted content about travel and fashion. She also operated a clothing store.
Her aunt, Cláudia Menezes, said that “Núbia did volunteer work and helped everyone,” adding that “she left a legacy behind,” the New York Post reported.
Ms Braga “never said if she was being threatened,” Ms Menezes added.
Social media followers commented on her passing, with one writing, “my JESUS, the woman only posted a Story 3 hours ago and was brutally murdered, only GOD can comfort her family and friends”.
“Rest in peace princess, you were an amazing girl,” another person added.
“There is no other of you, you are unique,” a third said.
“May your passage be peaceful, God is with you,” another commenter added.
