Dashcam footage has captured the moment a speeding car flies into the air and becomes wedged into the second story of a California dental office.

The Nissan Altima was travelling at high speed in Santa Ana, Orange County, when it hit a central reservation and became airborne.

Santa Ana Police Department said the driver admitted to being under the influence of drugs.

A passenger was also present and sustained minor injuries.
