The people of the internet made the day of one young Twitter user today, bombarding 'Sir Fedora's YouTube channel with Likes after he posted a touching video celebrating his first up-vote.

The four-minute clip entitled 'what Da (Bleep) happened' (sic) saw the boy fist pumping with joy over his first like, and asking viewers to help him reach the dizzy heights of three to five.

Picked up by a Reddit user, people then began delivering his goal many times over, with the original video rocketing up to 40,000 thumbs ups in a small matter of hours and attracting hundreds of comments.

Mr Fedora was quick to express his elation on Twitter, with his follower and view count climbing to the point where he had to tweet: "I'm scared to go look at frickin youtube man!"

"No f*cking way this is going viral, just no," one viewer later pleaded, but he was already too late.
