Traditional festive stamps designed by Axel Scheffler, illustrator of children's book The Gruffalo, have been unveiled by the Royal Mail.

The stamps, including a snowman and Santa, go on sale on November 6. Royal Mail said: "His charming style set the perfect tone for the stamps."
