A solicitor was jailed for seven years yesterday for stealing more than pounds 1m from clients.

Judge Brian Watling at Chelmsford Crown Court, told Derek Chisnall, 47, of Corringham, Essex, that it was 'one of the worst cases of deliberate dishonesty by a trusted professional man in living memory'.
