A soldier was shot in the stomach by a sentry on duty outside an Army guardroom last night. The man was taken to the Cambridge Military Hospital at Aldershot, Hampshire, as an inquiry began into the 'suspected negligent discharge' of a firearm. It was thought to have been accidental.
