Gary Lineker, the former England football captain, and his wife, Michelle, are expecting a second baby. George, their year-old son, has been fighting a battle against a form of leukaemia that doctors say is not hereditary.

The baby is expected to be born in the early summer in Japan, where Lineker will be playing for the Grampus 8 team.
