Parliament and Politics: Sponsored swim at RAC club, Pall Mall, London

The Parliamentary Plunge at the RAC Club, Pall Mall - a sponsored swim from noon to midnight in aid of the Macmillan Nurse Appeal, launched last year to raise pounds 20m to fund cancer care nurses. Those taking part ranged from MPs and peers to secretaries and assistants at the Houses of Parliament, and their partners. They hoped to raise pounds 50,000.
