Photographers unlucky in love

THE declining popularity of marriage means less business for the photography industry, according to a new report.

Fewer people are taking pictures - partly because they have fewer weddings to go to, a survey by market analysts Mintel says. The amount spent on film each year has dropped from pounds 280m in 1989 to pounds 220m last year. Spending on processing and developing fell from pounds 480m to pounds 405m.
