A judge demanded an inquiry after a nurse who had a previous conviction for having unlawful sexual intercourse with a patient raped an 88-year-old nursing home patient. Kenneth Mason, 54, was jailed for 10 years at Swansea Crown Court. He was struck off the professional register after the first offence but was reinstated 3 years later.
