A weary group of nine Scottish miners arrived in London yesterday at the end of a 636-mile protest march against pit closures. They set out from Glasgow on 14 November.

The Trades Union Congress is urging people to show their support for the miners by switching off their lights for five minutes at 8pm tonight.
