Lawyers can look forward to growth in their work level in the coming year, according to a survey published by Manches & Co. A third of the 1,000 UK companies canvassed in the survey predicted an increased need for legal services. More than half the companies spread their legal work over two or three firms of solicitors. A similar number failed to seek legal advice on a range of key management issues, the survey found. According to Manches' senior partner, Alasdair Simpson, the research showed the importance of communication between companies and their legal advisers.
