A helicopter pilot and his passenger were killed instantly when an RAF jet hit his aircraft at 480mph. An inquest jury returned verdicts of accidental death on Robert Reid, 37, and Alan Tucker, 55, an oil company worker, killed when a Tornado fighter bomber hit their Bell Jet Ranger at 350ft while they were inspecting a pipeline near Kendal, Cumbria, in June last year.
