Manchester United bus attack: 28-year-old suspect arrested
Four policemen were injured in the commotion outside West Ham’s Boleyn Ground

A man has been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder after an attack on Manchester United’s team bus before a Premier League game.
The 28-year-old suspect handed himself in at a police station in east London on Friday.
Four policemen were injured in the commotion outside West Ham’s Boleyn Ground on Tuesday, in which bottles, flares and other objects were thrown at the Manchester United coach while it was stuck in traffic.
The suspect has been released on bail until mid-August – but police are still looking for three more men, and are circulating images of them.
“The vast majority of people were well-behaved, but we are looking to deal with a small minority of individuals who committed criminal acts,” said Commander BJ Harrington of the Metropolitan Polic
Video footage posted online appeared to show the Manchester United players, including Jesse Lingard and Michael Carrick, cowering in mock fear as missiles pelted the windows.
West Ham has said it will ban the fans involved in the attack for life.
Three other men have been arrested in relation to the disorder. One, aged 20, was arrested for throwing bottles at police officers, while two others aged 18 and 47 were arrested for pitch incursion.
The 20-year-old has been bailed to return in August and the two others have been bailed to return later this month.
The game was delayed for 45 minutes due to the disarray.
“It is not the first time I have seen that. It is not so nice. The way we have been received is not the proper way of course. That makes all the influence on the players and that is a pity,” said Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal.
