Ashok Kumar, 49, a GP in Solihull, West Midlands, who submitted false claims for special clinic fees, was struck off the register by the General Medical Council. Claims for pounds 53,000 under a Health Promotion Clinic scheme were far more than those made by much larger surgeries, the hearing was told.
