THE Tories are 25 points behind Labour in a Gallup poll in today's Daily Telegraph, the worst result for a government since polling began in the 1930s. Only 21 per cent of people are satisfied with John Major; just 12 per cent approve of the Government's record. Party percentage ratings are: Labour 51.5 (48.5 in February); Conservative 26.5 (25); Liberal Democrats 17.5 (21).
