Extradition proceedings are to be opened against Joseph Magee, 26, who is wanted by police in Derby in connection with the Irish National Liberation Army murder of army recruiting sergeant Michael Newman last April.

He was arrested in Limerick in the Irish Republic and has been charged with refusing to give his name.
