Ronald Hutchinson, 70, vandalised 39 parked cars over a seven-month period. Hutchinson, of Heaton, Newcastle upon Tyne, who suffered from depression, admitted splashing paint stripper over them, causing pounds 6,205 damage. He was given an absolute discharge but ordered to pay each victim pounds 30.
