A partial eclipse of the sun is expected to be visible from Britain and Ireland tomorrow. The eclipse which, viewed from London, starts at 6.36pm on Tuesday and ends at 7.31pm, just a few minutes before sunset. At mid-eclipse 54 per cent of the sun will be covered by the moon.
