Two men appeared in court charged with importing more than pounds 2m worth of heroin into Britain. Vehbi Ergec, 48, a Turkish restaurateur from Holloway, north London, and Jan Heyveld, 53, from Apeldoorn, the Netherlands, were remanded in custody by magistrates in Dover, Kent.
