A drink-driver who lost control of his vehicle, killed two girls aged seven and eight, then told police 'look at the state of my car', was sentenced at Stafford Crown Court to serve 30 months in a young offenders' institution.

Janson Cartwright, 20, of Darlaston, West Midlands, was also banned from driving for five years. He admitted causing death by dangerous driving. He had drunk six pints of beer before the crash in the town. The girls' parents attacked the sentence.
