RUSSIAN military units last night were pursuing four gunmen who had fled after releasing the two helicopter pilots they were holding hostage. The hijacked helicopter had landed at Khassiviurt in the semi-autonomous republic of Dagestan, in southern Russia. It had flown there from Mineralnye Vody, where the last two of 15 kidnapped schoolchildren were released.
