SOUTH AFRICAN authorities were yesterday still trying to cope with the aftermath of thunderstorms which left large parts of Pretoria without electricity and the country's largest hospital flooded.
Numerous car accidents were reported, while at the Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in Soweto nurses and orderlies were mopping up operating- room floors after rain leaked through the roof.
