Jurassic Park actor Cameron Thor sentenced for sexually assaulting 13-year-old girl

An acting coach who appeared in Jurassic Park has been sentenced to six years in prison for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl.

Cameron Thor was convicted of one count of a lewd act on a child, one of his former acting students, in August.

On Wednesday, a Los Angeles judge sentenced him to prison for the offence which occurred seven years ago when the victim was a teenager, the Los Angeles Times reports.

Thor has appeared in a number of TV and film roles including Star Trek: The Next Generation and Cheers. He played the role of Lewis Dodgson in Jurassic Park.

He is not eligible for probation. He has also been ordered to register as a sex offender.
