New 70mph driving test

PLANS for a new driving test that will require all learners to drive at up to 70 mph on dual carriageways to simulate motorway driving, are due to be unveiled by the Government next week.

The moves, expected to be announced by Baroness Hayman, the road safety minister, follow growing concern that the current test is concerned too much with urban driving and technical manoeuvres.
