Receivers don't often get a good press, so it is a pleasure to be able to praise the foresight of Jonathan Philips of Price Waterhouse. When he took over as receiver of the London Arena, Frank Warren's Docklands extravaganza, he was horrified to find that the seats in the auditorium did not belong to the company but were leased. He moved quickly to buy them from Landhurst Leasing, which is just as well, since Landhurst itself collapsed last month.
